'Our truck is equipped on all fours with Goodyear Pneumatic Cord Tires. We have adopted the Pneumatic Tire equipment for two reasons, one for the increased speed possible and the other for the elimination of vibration, which in turn increases materially the life of the truck. We average about fifty miles a day, at times running as high as eighty or ninety miles in a single day. Much of our hauling is light on the outbound trip, where speed is greatly to our advantage. There is practically no vibration or shock on the chassis. We have not had the equipment long enough to say definitely how long it will increase the life of the truck, but we anticipate it will increase it from one-third to one-half. Under these considerations we believe the Pneumatic equipment to be a well-paying investment." Kent W. Bartlett, Asst. General Manager, Wm. Graver Tank Works
ALONG-TIME test was not necessary for Mr. Bartlett to determine the fitness of Goodyear Pneumatic Cord Truck Tires for his particular hauling problem. His letter quoted above tells why. Some time ago the Wm. Graver Tank Works faced 'a condition of express and freight congestion which vas seriously interfering with their activities. The Goodyear Truck Tire Service Station understood the difficulty and urged pneumatic equipment. Hauling time had to be reduced without endangering the loads or forcing the truck to an Lake County Automobile Supply Co. Hammond, Ind. Phone 1741
undue pace. Goodyear Pneumatics accomplished this. Thousands of such hauling questions have been answered with the correct type of Goodyear Truck Tire either Solid, Cushion or Pneumatic plus Goodyear Service. Our Goodyear Service Station is for analysis of conditions, recommendation of right type of Goodyear Truck Tire and, then, inspection attention to see that each tire delivers its inbuilt mileage. Call us up and let us explain how our tire methods help to reduce truck costs. East Chicago Garage & Sales Co. 4739 Forsyth Ave. zeiger a dewey, Prop.. East Chicago, Ind.
