mova protested: I "1 am not great. I am not well
known, even In Russia. I have played in St. Petersburg only one season. In Moscow and in some of the smaller towns they like me a little, I think." Much of this has now become untrue. Her widespread popularity and
reputation contradict her earlier state- . ments. but the great artist Is none the I less unaffected after her success. At i the DeLuxe theatre for one week, be- ' pinning Sunday.
