Mrs. W. V. Ackerman visited her sister. Mrs. James Pinkerton and husI'and In Shelby yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wood w?re Chicago visitors yesterday. Sol Jeffers died In the Hammond hospital Thursday nlsht. His remains were Brought to Lowell yesterday by undertaker Sheets and funeral services were held today at 2.30 p. m. Interment was made in the Sanders buryingr ground in West Creek township. Sol Jeffers came to this country 25 cr SO years ago and worked for a few days in town and later went to Charles Sanders home in West Creek wir h has sinc made his Home. He was a bichelor. an odd character. Everyone knew him but no one. with possibly an exception or two could ay they were intimately acquainted with, him. He went his own way and allowed other people to do the same. Tie lived a quiet life and so far as la known no one knew whether he had and relatives living or not. Mrs. Cora Simpson and children returned to their home in Merady villo, last evening: after a visit here with her sister. Mrs. F. I.,. Hunt and husband.
