L A Strikers Stop Workmen at Car Plant, Police Come to Their Aid. If threats made by strikers at the Standard Steel Car plant in Hammond materialize there will be serious trouble there tomorrow morning. After some disorder, which took place this morning. Chief of Police Peter Austgen of Hammond ordered his men to arm themselves with sa'wed-off shot guns when they go out to their duty in the s'rike zone tomorrow morning.
