calls on Thursday afternoon wm.m

a half an hour. The first alarm sent

there was to the Weinberg property

on West street, where the large Barn

had caujrht fire, reported to have been caused by children starting a bonfire. The barn was a total wreck, a blazing piece of wood was carried to the roof of the Parley Banks house on Court street, by the strong wind and before the occupants were aware the fire had gained a good headway. The second story and roof were badly burned.

Several houses in the vicinity were in danger and were closely watched by the firemen. It behoves our people to be very careful during the dryspell and the inadequate water supply or low pressure. Crown Point system of fighting a fire is not the best Just now and care may prevent a disastrous fire. . NEW M4HIAGF. LICENSES Andrew Kemp, Mattie D. Cathey, of Hammond. Nickola Medich.
