PREDICTS AIR SERVICE IN THREE YEARS Head of New York Aircraft Concern Prophesies Won- . derful Attainment
Earl C. Reeves STAFF CORRESPONDENT I. N. SERV1CE1 LO.VIO.V, Aug. 13. There will be a trans-Atlantic airplane service with one stop at the Azores within three years and the trip will be made in forty-eight hours from England. This prediction was maJe today by F. G. DifRn, president of United Aircraft Engineering Corporation of Xew York, just before he left for home on the Baltic today. Mr. Iifnn has been in conference here for three weeks with British aircraft manufacturers placing orders for 800 a-ro engines and 100 r'anes which will be used in the developed aerial trunk lines in the United States. The first of
ihese trunk lines between New Tork and Chicago will be used for merchandise and is expected to ba in operation within a year. Mr. Diffin said that r.o thought would be given to passenger ;rafnc until the freight lines was established and In running order. Radiating from the New Tork-Chicago trunk line will be branch lines warranting service to all parts of the country. Mr. Diffln expressed the opinion that Great Britain Is leading in air development, adding "We have arranged to manufacture one of the best British engines in America that the war has produced. Now we must strike out for commercial rlane development. I am positive planes capable of flying 200 miles an hour at 2.000 feet will be avail--hl fcr trans-Atlantic use. thus enabling pilots to take advantage of the iir currents going and coming."
FOOLING WITH HEALTH SERIOUS I have frequently asked druggists, "What do you push in a blood medicine?" The answer usually came, "The kind I can make the most money on." My answer has alvaystbeen, "Not me." I have succeeded rrctty well and I have always recommended the one that I had Tound by experience to be the best and the one I would be welling to take msclf or give to members of my own family. I have never offered the public a medicine that w e do not use at home. This is why I can offer "Number 10 For The Blood," with a clear conscience; we have not only tried it on thousands of others, but on ourselves. We take it In all cases where a blood medicine Is needed no matter in what form it shows itself and we get splendid results in constiration. kidney,, stomach and liver troubles. I firmly believe if every one would begin in the spring and take "Number 40" they woui- escape malaria and fevers in all forms. J. C. Mendenhall, to years a druggist, Evansvillc, Ind. Sold by Jos.
