Another instance where the submarine is provinp its ripht to exist in a civilized world is in the salvaging: of sunken fhips. Formerly, divers worked strenuously at
the bottom of the sea and as it was necessary for them to come up often the work processed slowly. The salvaging submarine invented by Simon Lake, changes all this.
It can stay submerged for many hours, making the work of the divers much easier. Photo was taken in the hurbor of Bridgeport, Conn.

Today recognized as the physical superior to any living man the Superman of the Age Jack Dempsey, Heavyweight Cham

never before known in the history of

William Harrison ("Jack") Dempsey Although like an ' untamed tier in the rin, the intensely human side of the new World's Champion is clearly shown by a remark he is quoted as making just before the big fight, in
which he said: "I have telegraphed my Mother that I will win the championship and I am
not going to disappoint her. I'm going to win that title if for no other reason than because I've promised her I would." Dempsey describes here the part Nuxated Iron played in helping him to keep hi3 promise to win the title.
