Miss Catherine Koch of Oliver st.. underwent an operation for appendicitis at the Mercy hospital In Chicago on Thursday. Her mother, Mrs. Peter Koch visited her yesterday and found the patient's eonltion to be quite encuragir.g. Nine? couples, including Hammond and Whiting people motored to Chicalast evening where they were deightfully entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilson. Is John Shell the oldest liviriic person in the world? He claims he is and he also claims that he will be ISO years old in September. His descendants number far into the hun nue left today for Cleveland, Ohio, to spend her vacation. The Methodist church, through action of its official board, has decided to continue the plan of Sunday evening union services through the month of August. The Sunday school and morning preaching services will be held each Sunday as usual. The pastor will preach tomorrow morning on the subject, "Jesus Christ and the Crowd.' Special music.
