short as possible. However, most of them say, if the bars are once thrown down for the introduction of biils they will introduce measures that they hop? to pass. In that case there would undoubtedly be a flood of bills that would keep the legislators in session for 'be full forty; days allowed by the constitution as the limit for a special session. Rerresentat i vt ?mons. of Henry county, says that while he i3 will'.rK to enter into a "gentlemen's agreement" with the governor to limit the bills to be introduced, he stil 1 believes the blue-t-ky legislation to be fully as important to the people of the state the ratification of the woman surfra-; amendment. H-i is in favor of ratif cation of the amendment, but he believes, also, that the people of the stale should be protected against the hordof wild-cat. bhie-sky securities that are now bcinff sold to them. Senator Aldredgc. of Madison county, who introduced the suffrage bill in the
last two sessions of the. legislature- and! succeeded in passing it at the last sc- j sion by an unanimous vote, is pi'par-! ins the resolution for ratification ofj the Susan B. Anthony amendment to 1 the federal constitution, and he will!
have it ready for introduction on the first day of the special session. Ther is no question in the world about ratification b yteh Indiana legislature.
