(SPECIAL TO THE TIMES) FORT WAYNE. Ind.. June 35. South Bend has been chosen as the aita for the next year's state conventiAn of the Indiana Municipal League today. One of the bits of th convention here was the speech nAde by Mayor Hodxes of Gary, after Major Lewis, a socialist, of Elwool went on a rampage. Hodges gave Lewis some things to think about when he said that he had personal experience recently with bolsheviks., all of whom were openly proclaiming: themselves socialists. He aid he would not permit any one advocating such un-American doctrines to go unrebuked wherever found. He said he would not say that all socialists are bolt-heviks but all bolsheviks were socialists and they generally were aliens and unworthy of American domi -He because unable to appreciate American liberty. He said the executives of Indiana cities must br prepared t" maintain American principles and when any persons are found engaged in efforts to change the form of government, the same road that brought them in should be open to drive them out of the country. Mayor Lewis let this spirited speech close the incident. "
