Mr. and Mrs. Geors Burgees of Northerns s.v., entertained at a very nicely appointed dinner last evening to honor
the toon departure or .Mrs. w uson, w no ( is leaving this city for Indianapolis, and;
there make her future home. Mr. and Mrs. I". Dawson were among the guests at the event. The H. V. Tants, of the Lake Front, are on an auto tour for a few week.

Jearn the reason. Everywhere the service was unusual and when Inquiries were made in the new system it was found to be nothing else than a promise from
the manager of the Luktis Xews Ageney North Magoun ave., the present home of
that he would have aiarge auto truck ready at a certain time to convey tho
at St. Margaret's hospital, having undergone an operation from which she has rallied satisfactorily and resting well. Mrs. Erusden made hr home with the Johnstons when they lived here In

bus, Ohio, and Canton, later to tn tontennary Movement being conducted in the latter city. Her little son is accompanying hor. Mrs. S T. Johnston, of Northcte ave.. whose health has been impaired since last winter when her hand became infected with a needle thrust is back home again from the Martinsville Sanitarium quite herself again. Her experiences down at the hospital, her care and rest, has dne wonders for her. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edmonds, of the same street and close neighbors of Mrs. Johnston, have recently returned from the same institution and at the sam plae is Mr Eugene Clapper, who wil levidently hav to remain there longer on account of thdisability he suffers from for so great a length of tin-.e. Twin City 'newsies' made their de-
eries made were richly rewarded by their circulation master.
A visitor during vacation days from"
school at the Boyd Lukens home in lrijth st. is William Brown, a brother to Mrs. Lukens. from Waupaca, where he has been taking a part leave of time, his home being at Mauston, Wis. He wa3 here last summer and is called Buster by his close friends. Mrs. Elizabeth Brunsden. well known in this city and mother to Sirs. August Johnston., wife of County Recorder .Johnston of Crown Point, is a patient
Dr. and Mrs. George W. Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Williams of 14oth St.. will soon be departing for Toungstown, Ohio, where they will vacation for a time, taking their son Harry, a graduate of the East Chicago high school o" this year, with them. The supper held by the ladies of the First M. E. church of Iiliana Harbor in the dining room of the church proved most rroflUble to the church fund. Considering the warm weather and so many entertainment features throughout th entire week, the attraction to the affair well suired the comir.ittees serving and thos iliT.cting. This fall the dinners will be held more regularly. Miss Florence Hauswald. superintendent of Welfare nurses In the Twin City field, departed lat evening fr a much needed rest at her old home town in Kentucky, there to remain for a period of two weeks.
