Mrs. Martin Linz, of 223 Sibley etreet.- Hammond, received word this morning that her father. Orrln DeWitt. 77 years old. ha ddied thS morning at the Marion Old Soldiers Home, following a paralytic stroke. Mr. Martin, since hia wife died four months ago. had lived with his daughter at 22 Sibley street until entering the Old Soldiers' Home a few weeks ago. He had live! in Hammond for many years, where he is well known and loaves many friends. He was a member of the Hammond G. A. R- post. Be!des his daughter, the deceased leaves to mourn him three sons. I E. DeWitt of Oklahoma City; Edward DeWitt and Sergeant L. G. Dewitt of Hammond. Funeral arrangements will be made latfr.
