ITTL COST LESS TO SEND LETTERS BEGINNING JULY

Instructions and information have been received at the local rostoft'ice concerning the introduction of reduced letter postage which will go into effect July I. On that date letter postage will be reduced from three cents an ounce or fraction thereof, to two cents. Postcards will go back to the one cent rate instead of two cents. Further instructions from the postoffice department at Washington are to the effect that a new contract for stamped envelopes and newspaper wrappers will go into effect on the same, date. It is suggested that tnfe users of first quality stamped envelopes in lies Nos. -5 and 13. printed or unprlnted should order now in the one and two cent denominations. Thus the increase of prices will be avoided. Early delivery would also be insured.
