Irwin Hcyrfman and family motored to Culver last Thursday. They had a delightful trip, but were disappointed on the fishing as the fish are dying by scores. Government men arc there try Ing to determine the cause. Mrs. Rudolph Stalder and daughter. Marion Rose, from Huntington, visited her sister. Miss Fisher. Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. 1L B. Eastwood motored to Chicago on a shopping tour Thursday. The Commencement exercises Wednesday evening- was largely attended. Judg-3 Norton of Crown Foint gave a fine address. The class motto was "Service is the high road to success," which he greatly enlarged upon. Supt. Highway spoke on the "V. S. S. movement and the good investment they were for school children. He complimented the class on their clear thought and accuracy in their
examinations.

monthly social this coming Saturday
evening, it falling on the first instead of the last Saturday of the month. A large crowd attended the repection Thursday evening, glvn in honor of the Misses Lennertz and Fisher. A short program was given, after which a token
of remembrance was given each in the
form of a broach. They each responded with well-chosen words of appreciation.

which a social evening followed.
