Realizing the increased industrial facilities in the Calumet Region, resulting from the demands occasioned by the recent war with a production that can hardly be computed, several hundred thousand willing workers, and the prospects of an immediately increased population as soon as the Region has fully settled down to a peace basis, the INDIANA DEVELOPMENT COMPANY has been organized for the purpose of dealing in Real Estate in all its branches, its organizers having in mind that the Galumet Region is about to enter into the greatest boom in its history, and thousands of homes will have to be provided for its peoples. 3IThere never has been a time when the Calumet Region offered a better opportunity to investors and business men, and having this in mind, this company has purchased the Forsyth property consisting of Fifty-six (56) acres, lying between Calumet and Lake Avenues, and extending, from 1 1 9th St. to Indiana Boulevard, which they have caused to .be subdivided into lots, which they are placing upon the market, on and after Wednesday, the 28th day of May, 1919. CJTliis tract of land is situated directly west of Robertsdale in the City of Hammond, and being located in the confines and at the door of the City of Chicago, unusual returns in this Subdivision, known as "SHEFFIELD" are possible, because this district is just now at the dawn of a wonderful era: CJThere never has been a time when the demand was greater for property for residence purposes, in and around the Cities of Whiting and Hammond. "SHEFFIELD" is surrounded by prosperous mills and factories, employing millions in money, and thousands of men who must have homes. The demand is urgent and steadily increasing, and there is no better time than now to buy lots, either for the purpose of building or for investment. Every lot in this Subdivision is conveniently located, having splendid facilities for transportation, street car lines with a 15 minute service running along the west of. this Subdivision and within three blocks of any part of it, from Hammond to Chicago, while on the north, there is a street car line with a 20 minute service running from the City of East Chicago through Whiting and Robertsdale to Chicago. CJThe Company will proceed without delay in improving this property, by laying out the streets and putting in sewers, sidewalks and water mains, and lots will be sold either for cash or on terms to suit. QThe lots in this Subdivision are well restricted, so as to insure a high-class residence district, and being only a few blocks from Lake Michigan and the Lake Front Park, will make this the most desirable place for residence purposes in Lake County.
