PATAGONIA DISTRICT Most Highly Mineralized District in Arizona. Prof. Chas. F. Willis, recent head of Bureau of Mine3 of the University of Arizona, in writing of Arizona mining districts, bays: "Of all tin districts in Southern Arizona, the PATAGONIA DISTRICT probably represents more development and more production, a greater mineralization, than any other district, with the exception of Bissbee. and possibly Ajo. and in these caes, undoubtedly only because of their more extensive development. The opportunities in the Patagoni-a District aro remarkable."

Mowry, Arizona, April 30, 1319. To the Stockholders of The Consolidated Arizona Copper Mines Co. Gentlemen : Just a few words relative to your property and the region in which it is located. I know your property, particularly the El Paso Mine, and in my judgment this is being developed into one of the most valuable, if not the most valuable, in the Patagonia District. I have lived and been in business in this district for many years and knew conditions thoroughly, and I can say there is no doubt that this is the most heavily mineralized district in the State of Arizona. It gives me much pleasure to be able to recommend your proposition as one that has all the earmarks of becoming a big money-maker. (Signed) E. E. BETHELL. Manager Washington Trading Co. Mr. E. E. Ing the ore body, and will establish the El Taso group as a groat topper mine property. The new and modem equipment of machinery in the hoi f house was th1 object, of much admiration on the part of the visitors. This equipment includes large hoist engines, air compressors and power drills. From the El Paso group the party proceeded lo the Olive group, a bodv of claims ad.iarent to the El Paso af' owned by the ('on -olidated Company, something like a half a mile away, and there they were edified by finding that the new- shaft now being sunk lias cut the ledge at a depth of seventy-five feet., cutting a vein of rich argent'te (a silver-lead ore), a foot in width, which assays 10 ounces silver per ton and 60 per cent lead. The matrix to the vein, about six inches on each -ide. Is a mineralized tale which carries IS
ounces silver and 21 per cent lead, a I
good concentrating ore. The history of the Olive and Mowry Mines, in the vicinity, and many other properties, all rich producers in their time many of them producing richly now was gone over and was the subject of much enthusiastic conversation among the visitors and gave them an insight into the record of a most interesting mineral region. Various members of the party who had come from considerable distances remained overnight in the Mowry and Consolidated camps. The Nogales contingent, with the visitors from the East, canw to the line city yesterday morning, visiting here until afternoon, when they took the train to Tuscou, en route to their Eastern homes."
Mowry, Arizona, April 30th, 1919. Consolidated Copper Co. Gentlemen : I am a miner. I own properties in this and other districts. I am intimately acquainted with the Consolidated properties. The El Paso Mine is attracting the wide attention of the mining men of this district and the Southwestern country in an unusual way for the reason that the majority of our people know of the immense ore body. One of the great porhpyry dikes of the country crosses this property from northeast to southwest, entering on your El P,aso claim No. 8 at a width something like 5C0 feet at the surface, leaving the property 3.000 feet away to the southeast at a width between 7C0 and 800 feet. In the canyon on the southeast, where the ledge leaves the property, the upthrust, or outcrop, is one of the most marked I have ever seen, and the values shown therein speak for themselves. Under the direction of your Mr. Wm. J. Mitchell, General Manager, I am satisfied the Consolidated Copper Co. will make more than good to its owners. Respectfully,
(Signed) H. B STOWE
Mowry, Arizona, April 30, 1919. Mr. J. A. Ritzier, President, Consolidated Arizona Copper Mines Co. Dear Sir:
i am laminar witn your e.i Paso Mine and am confi-i dent that it will develop into a great copper mine. It has j all the indications of being such, and when development
reaches permanent water level, copper ore of practically unlimited extent will be uncovered. The porphyry which you are now going through resembles that in the Copper Queen Mine, underlying Sacramento Hill at Bisbee, from which the Company is now removing the copper with steam shovels. There is no doubt but that your company will have one of the very best mines in this section of the Southwest.
