RIFLE MEETING IS POSTPONED

On account of the bad weather last Saturday the opening shoot of the Hammond P.ife Club, which was to have been held at Sharpshooters Park was called off. Arrangement have been made to hold the bia openina tomorrow, providing; the weather man sproves A large crowd is expected to h on hand at one o'clock when the marksmen open their sason.

TO BE BOMBED BY AEROPLANES Hammond and other cities of northern Indiana will be bombed bv United States army airplanes Saturday afternoon. The bombs will be different from those generally used by the army in that they will be made of papr and filled with literature concerning enlistments in the air service of the United States mini. Thre planes will leave Indianapolis Speedway at ten o'clock Saturday morning and are expectd to he over Hammond at. three or four o'clock in the afternoon.
