CAPTURED SUBMARINES TO BE EXHIBITED IN U. S. TO BOOST LIBERTY LOAN DRIVE

U. S. naTal officers on board one of Germany's submarines which will be exhibited in the U. S. during liberty loan drive. Five captured German submarines are now on their way across tha 'Atlantic and are expected to arrive in this country in plenty of time to b exhibited in various parts of the country to help boost the cominjr liberty loaa campaign. One of tha U-boats will be located in the Hudson river and on in the Potomac. Another uill up the St. Lawrence river and through the Great Lakes as far as Chicago. A fourth will visit the- Gulf porta &nd the fifth may be sent up the Ohio and Mississippi rivers.

POSTMASTERS ' CONFERENCE INTERNATIONAL FEWS SERVICE 1 WASHINGTON. April 1. Postmasters from seventy of the leading cities of the country together with representatives of a number of prominent business houses, began a three day conference today with poKtoffice department officials. Postmaster-General Burleson addressed the conference, pointing out that It was called for the purpose of discussing subjects relating to the needs of the postal service. The discussion was exrected to take a wide range during the several meetings that will be held. Besides the postmasters, there were mnny division superintendents cf railway mall service and postmaster Inspectors In attendance.
