TERRIBLE FATE BEFALLS MOTHElt l INTERNATIONAL. NEWS SERVICE 1 NEW YORK. March 26. Mrs. Eo lise Mercier was burned to death today when she rushed into her ftame-swept home in Richmond Hill In an effort to save her three children, two of whom also perished in the fire. Mrs. Mercier hurried to the street when aroused by the cry of "Fire." On the sirewalk she learned that none of her children bad followed her. She dashed into the house and wes badly burned and .'creed to return to the street. As soon as hn had recovered sufficiently she rushed into the flames again and never returned. Her daughters, aged six and three, also were burned to death. Her husband and another daughter are at the
