Rev. and Mrs. Alexander Monroe were in the city yesterday on their way to attend the conference of Congregational church held at Whiting yesterday. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tcrcy Roberts and Mrs. Alice Rieboldt at noon yesterday. The Ladles' Aid of the Indiana Harbor Swedish Lutheran church will meet Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock "in the church parlors. The Indiana Harbor O. E. S. chapter will conduct their regular meeting tomorrow evening. Mr. John Hill, of 145th street, continues to remain in an impoverished condition of health. The family is entertaining hope of an improvement in his present state. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ch.tty of Fir street had a visit from the stork Saturday which brought a baby son as a companion to the little daughter they have.
