A gallant Jewish, youth from Gary threw three drunks and two strapping fellows from a Gary & Interurban car at 11:30 in Hammond last night and then took a revolver away from a deputy sheriff, emptied it, returned it and offered to fight. The car, with ail seats filled, was waiting at Sibley street, near Hohman, until time to start for Gary. The young Jew was the escort of a pretty and modest girl. .The three crunks staggered on the car and reeled in the aisle, giving vent to the lowest profane and obscene language. THBEW THEM AX.I. OTT.
