LEGISLATURE BEGINS TO JAM THROUGH BILLS
IBU1.1.STI.N.J (Br International Kiwi Serrtce.) HfDIAJf AFOtlS, IND., rb. 21. Two of til most Important measures yet presented, to the Indiana legislature the bill creatine a state highway com. mission., and the tax reform bill today are on their way to become laws. Both were passed late yesterday by the house of representatives ; the tax reform Mil after radical amendments had been made and the highway commission bill under suspension of the rules.
Bulletin. (By International Kiwi Service.) IHDIAHAPOUS, IND., Teb. 21. The tax reform bill, as was passed by the lower house, pro-rides that property of all kinds shall be assessed at fifty per cent of Its true cash market value, In. stead of 100 per cent as under present tax laws. Other amendments strike out the provision that revenue to be raised In any taxing- unit shall not be greater than was produced In the pre. ceding- year; cut the salaries of county
assessors and gives the board the right to remove county or township assessors, but gives such official the right to appeal. By UT O. WIX (I. K. 8. Staff Correspondent.) INDIANAPOLIS, INI)., Ken. 21. The Indiana state legislature started on its final round of work today, with little time to disposed of the many Important measures and problems confronting it. The general appropriation bill was before the house this afternoon, and once this Is disposed of, the house Is x-
pected to speed up action on the many i
measures before It. The house during the past week has accomplished much more than has the senate, which has shown a tendency to "loaf" with hopes of rushing the republican party measures through during the closing days of the session. Both houses have many political measures to net upon, especially the numerous bills having to do with primaries and registrations.

DAILY HEALTH TALKS Better be Careful About Your Kidneys
BY X. B. COOK, M. D. Foods taken into the stomach go through var'ous chemical changes, and some of these changes are poisons that must be stfted out and disposed of. tt Is the duty of the kidneys to do this. When the kidneys do not fully rerform. their vital work, death may be only a few hours sway. Happily, Nature has provided warning alarms telling people when their kidneys are not well. Thtso warnings crmo in the form of dragging pains in the small of the back, weak stomach, low spirits, chills, nausea, headache, scanty urine and frequent Fide to pass it, short breath, numtmess, cramps, coated tongue. bad breath, puffs under the eyes, thin blood, dry skin, ringing in the cars, spots before the eyes and many other symptoms. All come from the one cause of kidneys that are not filtering the poisons out of the system. To overcome these troubles. Dr. Pierce, of Buffalo, N. jr.. compounded what he calls Anurlc Tablets. Xo other kidney medicine is Its equal in giving relief and re-establishing healthful work in the kidneys. Tne treatment Is very simple, as you need nothing except water when taking Anuric Tablets a glass of water with each tablet. This washes and flushes the kidneys while the medicine itself Is dissolving the uric acid poisons and driving them out. Anuric Tablets are made double strength, so that they dissolve uric acid the same as hot water dissolves salt or sugar. Most people need Anuric Tablets because most peo
ple have uric acid.' Better get that poison out of your body for safety's sake, and better begin today. To gently and agTeeably coax the bowels back into normal activity, take Dr. Tierce's Pleasant Tellets. They are just as good for costlveness as his Anuric Tablets are good for kidney disorders, and that is saying a great deal. Adv.

Be Careful in Using Soap on Your Hair
Most soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much alkali, which is very injurious, as it dries the scalp and makes the hair brittle. The best thing to use is Just plain mulslfled cocoanut oil, for it is pure and entirely grcaseless. It's very cheap, and beats the most expensive soaps or anything else all to pieces. Tou can get this at any drug store, and a few ounces will last the whole family for months. Simply moisten the hair with water and rub it in, bout a teaspoonful is all that is required. It makes an abundance of rich, creamy lather, cleanses thoroughly, and rinses out easily. The hair dries quickly and evenly, and is soft, fresh looking, bright, fluffy, wavy, and easy to handle. Besides, it loosens and takes out every particle of dust, dirt and dandruff. Adv.
