Think of the manifold blessings for which we should be profoundly grateful: That the end of this most terrible war has come: that the destruction of. militarism, for which we entered the . conflict, is about realized; that a peace of justice, rather than of vengeance is to be consumated; that our land has been free from the ravages of war; that we have not had to pay tho terrible price in the loss of precious lives, that some of our valiant allies have had to pay; that our brave soldiers and sailors will come back to us, proud of tluiir part that they played in freeing the peoples of oppressed races; that we are and always have been a free people, and that the flag of our beloved country is still the emblem of freedom to the entire world; that this nation has

shown itself in these times, times that tried the very souls of men, to be sound of heart; that we are a God-fearing and reverent people; and that with such traditions and blessings as arc ours we should return thanks on this day to God "in whom wc as a nation trust." We as a bank feel grateful to the people that have entrusted to our keeping, during the numerous "thanksgivings" past their savings the results of their labors; that this trust of. ours has never been violated, and wc enter with confidence into the future, feeling confident that we shall safeguard their interests first, in the keeping of their funds, which are steadily growing as evidenced by the figures below:
