There will be no boys meeting In the afternoon. The Young People's Society will continue Its mission study, "Japan." The evening preaching service at 7:30. Subject "Where Is the Master?" On Thanksgiving evening all the protestant churches of Whiting and Robertsdale will have a Union Thanksgiving service In the Robertsdale will havs a Union Thanksgiving ervice In the Robertsdale Evangelical church. The M. E. Minister will preach the sermon.

Funeral ; services were held Wednesday. It has been reported here that the wife and three children of Mr. Van Dusen. who formerly lived here, died this week at their homo In Lake Villa from Influenza. Col. Roy Colve.r left Wednesday evening for Tcronto. Canada, to attend the funeral of his brother. .

LANSING. Mrs. Ft3 Wlttenhagen went to Chicago Thursday morning to visit an old friend who is very sick. Mrs. Mary Schultz was visiting Mrs. Mary Fleck to see how they felt about the peace terms. Mrs. Ch.irie9 Wittenhagen was surprised the ether day to find her three months o!tl baby had two teeth. Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Schultz received sad news thnt their son August of Harvey died at 2 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Maty Schultz was a guest at the luncheon given by Mrs. Herman Rahn. Mr. Erril Frey was visiting Mrs.

The funeral of Ben F. Berg was held on Thursday, the deceased being th first victim of influenza In this com-munitj-. He died at the age of thirtytwo years, on Monday night, after & week of illness. Having no children of their own, Mr. and Mrs. Eerg adopted the baby boy found en the streets at Schererville last spring. The deceased was t member of the St. John court. No. 99. C. O. F., and the Catho. Ho Benevolent League of Indiana. Willie Klassen. the fourteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. P. Klassen. died Friday night of the Influenza, after a two weeks illness. The funeral will be held on Monday morning at ten o'clock, from the Catholic church.

"While the first wave of, the flu touched only lightly this community, the second wave took a firm hold and most of the families have some sick members. A short time after the ban was lifted by the authorities and the schools opened, sickness spread out rapidly and In a short time people and teachers were unable to attend and no relief In eight at present. The forty hours devotion, which was announced last unday by the Rev. Badina had to be postponed. Nicholas Ludwig, r., returned home from a several days' visit with relatives at Chicago. Herbert Klassen is very low with Influenza-pneumonia.

Pio attended the funeral of .the Infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Mellon which was held Wednefday. Services were held at Hammond and the burial was at the Calvary cemetery.
