Miss .Mabel Gray, court stenographer has returned from Indianapolis where she spent a week, to be present at the opening of court on Monday. Emmert Clymer of county auditor Foland's office. Is on the sick list. The bo6y of -Charles Campbell was brought to Crown Point for burial on Wedpesday. Mr. Campbell was an Invalid and made his home la Chicago w-ith relatives. Mrs. Campbell and several children reside In Crown Point. She was employed at the Lets factory. The first meeting of the Food Club was held Friday evening, November 15 at the high school assembly room with a very enthusiastic number being present. The- club regretted very much that cur county food chairman, Mrs. Soper, could not be with us and explain the purpose o the club. However, she sent a message to the club which was read by Mrs. Jennie Word Wheeler. lr message was of vital Interest to every one. In It ehe emphasized the necessity of our conserving In every possible way. The war over, our hardest work has just begun. It is now our duty to defeat starvation.
