Police searching: ruins of cars in Brooklyn, N. Y., subway for articles to identify dead.. Note one policeman has prayer book and blood-stained handkerchief. Investigation of tb accident in the subway of the Brighton Beach Hne of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit, which cost the lives of close to 100 persons and injured many more, is under way. A train, said to have been drivea by a rreen motorman, left the rails on a curve in the subway and crashed into the stone wall. The train following crashed into the wreck. The wooden cars in the wrecked train crumpled and caught fire.

Greisel house on Clark street. She was 31 years of age and had made many friends during her short stay In our midst. Mrs. Fred Scull is substituting In the Crown Point schools during the absence of 'Miss Ltah Kraft. The marriage of Miss Julia Kramer, daughter of Mrs. Joseph Kramer, to Reg. Sergt.-Major Russell Clark occurred on Saturday night at 9 p. m.. at the home of the bride. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Ph. Guethoff. The bride has been sick In bed the past week with Influenza and the marriage was scheduled to take place on Thanksgiving Day, but Sergt.-Maj. Clark, who has been stationed in New York, received orders to leave for Porto Rico on Sunday, so for that reason, the marriage took place Saturday night. The groom, prior to his enlistment, was a resident of Hammond, but his home Is In Jennings. La. Mrs. Clark expects to Join her husband after her complete recovery. Dr. C. J. Tinkham has returnedf rom a four days visit with relatives In Bement. 111. Mrs. Tinkham is spending some time there.
