The game was scheduled at East Chicago ball park, but owing to the health board's rules combined with the police department, prohibited the playing in the eleventh hour. With several hundred howlirg fans the Gopher management decided to play at Hejfewisch. Hegewisch won the toss. Frleberg. Gopher fullback, made one of his wonderful long kicks for 45 yards. The Lightnings unable to make their first downs. kicked. In five minutes "Shorty" Long of the Gophers went across for the first touchdown.
