Every druggist in this county Is authorized to say to every rheumatic sufferer In this vicinity that if two bottles of Allenrhu, the sure conquerer of rheumatism, does not stop ail agony, reduce swollen joints and do away With even the slig-hust twinge of rheumatic rain, he will gladly return jour money witht comment. AUenhni has been tried and tested for 7eara, and really marvelous results have tn-en accomplished in the most severe ses where the suffering and agony was Intense and piteous and where the patient wan helpless. Allenrhu relieves at once. Immediately after you start to take It the pood work begins. It searches out the uric acid deposits, dissolves the secretions end drives rheumatic poison out of the body through the kidneys and bowels. It's marvelous how quickly it acts. Bi!.sed relief often comes in two days, and even in cases where the suffering is most painful all traces disappear In a few days. AH druggists can supply you. adv.

SOMEWHERE IX ENGLAND. Sept. 8 (By mail). British. Canadian and Australian soldiers contested In the athletic sports held by an army brigade here the other day. British contingents won the majority of the events owing, partly, to the fact that more Britishers than any others participated. A challenge shield, presented by the brigadier-general, and a challenge cup, presented by sn American colonel, were fought for. A cabinet minister was among tue Judges, and his wife was In charge of the distribution of prizes. The soldiers, company ater company, American. British, Canadian and Australian, marched in fours to the athletic ground, singing gay marching tunes. At the field they formed little groups of truly International character around th ropes, cheering and shouting. Before the sports program began, there was the customary parade of competitors. They marched around the running track, group by group, and cheering by the rival camps and headed by the pipers of the Scotch guards, whose rees
and strathspeys put new life Into the tiers of spectators. Twice the Reds and Greens and Finks made the quarter-mile circuit, i Then the starter's pistol told that the first heat was on. It was the open quarter-mile, with contestants from the American, British and Australian contingents. The final was won in 55 4-5 seconds not bad time on wet grass. There was a long program, all gone through with the keenest enthusiasm, and an international flavor to almost every event. As the number of each successive winner was posted up. the spectators cheered themselves hoarse. Meanwhile there was pipe mu.;'.c galore, while overhead a half-dozen British and American airmen piovided entertainment by looping the loop, nose-diving nd performing various other evolutions and aeronautics which a few jears ago would have been deemed impossible. Th British contingents, being numerically superior to the other nationalities engaged, won a majority of the events, but the results mattered little, for in these things the mere result is nothing In comparison with the spirit in wmch the events are contested and the eurial entente which results. "It all looks bad for the boche," remarked the American colonel to the
British brigadier as the men, allies all marched off the field.

Dandruff Surely Destroys the Hair
Girls if you want plenty of, thick, beautiful, glossy, silky hair, do by all means get rid of dandruff, for it will etarve your hair and ruin it if you Jon't. It doesn't do much good to try to brush or wash it out. The only sure way to get rid of dandruff is to dis- . solve it, then you destroy It entirely. To do this, get about four ounces of ordinary liquid arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the fmper tips. By morning, most if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four ii'jie applications will completely dissoIno and entirely destroy every single s-izn and trace of it. You will find, too, that all itching and diggins of the scalp will stop, and your hair will look and feel a hundred times better. Tou can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive and four ounces is all you will need, no matter how much dandruff you have. This simrle remedy never fails. Adv.
