Th woman of the hour is the woman of the food clubs in East Chicago and Indiana Harbor. Org-anizat on of the women in these eluhs is spreadinfr like wild Are and the aim seems to he to enlist the sympathy and membership of every woman in the city. These clubs, of abut ifteen members each, are orgarlzini!: In practically every block, there being ward aptains and presidents for the individual flubs. Their plan is to hold meetings every third Friday in the month and ad organitations and citi7ena are asked to observe this day as closely as possible aid not call any meetings to conflict with the plans of the food club presidents. In other words, the third Frid.v of each month is to be "Food Club Kay." At the food club m ttings there will he demonstrations of methods In conserving and preparin foods, discussions of receipts, orders of the food administration review.d, examples of profiteering, hoarding, waste, obnoxious and unpatriotic trade practices roted and-repen ted to ligher authority, and in fact at tl.f-e m.etir.gs anything and everything will h. taken up that will help w.n the vv.-tf through food production and conservation.
