evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Pailey. f,l.r Freeman street, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Hossie Martin Bailey, to Albert F. Beckwith of Gary. Ind. M's Lura Bailey, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Mr. Ilarley Rcokwith. brother of the groom, was best man. The bride was attended by her father and by him was presented at the marriage altar. The beautiful ring ceremony was used, and Rev. Thomas F. "Williams of the Methodist church officiated. All members of the family were present except a brother. King Bailey, who is In the ser Ice. In addition a number of friends shared th Joys of the occasion, including young men of the camp. A wedding repast was served in a most delightful manner following; the ceremony. Mr. Beckwith Is an employe of the K. J. & K. R. R. Company running out of Gary, at which place the young folks will reside for the present. Late in the evening the wedding party were serenaded bv the poldlers" Jazz Band.

UD SENT TO COUNTY JAIL

William Gonterman, IS years old. In the Gary city court was fined $110 and sentenced to six months in Jail for contributing to the delinquency of a young 17-year-old girl by the name of Emm i Stump. A few days ago young Gonterman reported to the police that ho had seen the young girl and a man 4S years old by the name of John Rowell, section foreman on the Pennsylvania railroad at Gary, go Into a box car He immediately called up th police, who found the man and girl 1n the car and I laced them under arrest. , It was found upon examination that Gonterman had sent the girl money Jn Iowa to come to Gary to marry him. Rowell -was fined $20 on charges of adultery and the girl Is held by the Juvenile officers.
