CONCERNING

AND Tfif

OF. EAST CHICAGO

From Mr. Bader:

East Chicago, Indiana, August 1st, 1918.

TO THE PUBLIC:

It is with great reluctance and solely because of the condition of my health that I have today disposed of the controlling interest in the First National Bank of East Chicago and in the First Trust and Savings Bank of East Chicago to Walter J. Riley and C. A. Westberg to whom the people of this City need no introduction. ' I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation of the confidence shown by the people of East Chicago through many years of my connection with these institutions and of the assistance given me in their up -building into the sound and splendid banks of today. I may be pardoned the pride I have taken in their growth and condition. For these banks, under the management of my successors, I bespeak a continuation of the confidence and business a3 heretofore, feeling assured of them being in competent hands. G. J. BADER.
