LIQUOR LAW VIOLATORS ARE ARRESTED Three poirh Ci.iago men were arrested by Gary police yesterday for bringing liquor into the state. Each of the men Anion Petlak. Tony Femboski. and A. P. Krajer.ski had in their possession whn arrested twelve bottles of beer and one gallon of whiskey. They were released on $r,'b bonds each and will appear for trial in the Gary city i ourt on Wednesday. Edward Walker of Springfield, 111., was arrested with two quart bottles of whiskey.
SIX WAR SLACKERS. Six more alleged war slackers have been taken In by the Gary police and lodged in the city bastile to be held for federal Investigation. K was brought here yesterday by the daughter, Miss Featrice. who was returning from Marshalltown. Iowa, where her father had gone to visit a brotlur and seek to rertipera'e his heaith. Mr. Drum was stricken with paralysis while about his duties in the railroad yards last February. He was taken to a Chicago hospital, where he was placed under expert medical care, and remained ther" until until such time as his removal was considered safe. While at his home at 4.516 Olcott avenue his condition seemed most promising and he expressed a desire to visit his brother.
