More than 2,300 farmers in Indiana are endeavoring to stop the "leaks" In their business by keeping accounts of their receipts and expenses and taking annual inventories in a farm record book prepared by the agricultural extension department of Purdue university, it was announced today. This number Is several times as large this year hs it was last because of the ineonvj tax law, which requires accurate returns. Of the large number keeping Turdue books. 1.200 are co-operating with the university and at the end of the year will receive assistance in summarizing their business and in analyzing it to determine what changes can be made to increase profits. The experience of the 500 who completed accounts last year shows that it is well adapted for use by the Indiana farmers." said a farm management expert today.
