To The Times LOWELL, IND.. July 5. The Fourth i of July celebration in Lowell yesterday was a good old patriotic Fourth of July celebration. The program of the day began with a mammoth street parade at 1!) o'clock which was participated In by the busines men. societies, the fn rulers and citizens, who had their automobiles and carriages decorated in the national colors for the occasion. The parade wa3 about a mile long. After parading the principal streets they led the crowd to beautiful Oakland park, where the exercises of the day were held. S. A. Brownell. acting as chairman, t called the vast assemblage to order The program was begun by few selections by the band, and singing by the audience and individuals. The speaker of the day, Peter R. Boylan, of Chicago, was then introduced and he made as tine a patriotic speech as has been heard her for many a day. He was loudly J applauded. Rev.
