widely known geologist and mining expert, a man whose reputation and opinion concerning Arizona Mining Properties is held in the highest esteem; a member of the Staff of the Department of Mines at the University of Arizona directed by that Bureau to write the past and current mining history of Santa Cruz County, because his long residence in Southern Arizona, his personal intimate knowledge of mines and mining in that district, fitted him better than any other man to reliably perform that important task. Col. Bird was employed by the board of directors of the CONSOLIDATED ARIZONA COPPER MINES COMPANY to make an exhaustive examination and report based on the absolute merit or ncn-merit of the CONSOLIDATED properties. The following is an excerpt from his report to President J. A. Ritzier of the CONSOLIDATED COMPANY: "I have made it clear that the EL PASO GROUP and OLIVE GROUP of mines, owned by the CONSOLIDATED ARIZONA COPPER MINES COMPANY, are of RARE MERIT AND PRESENT GREAT POSSIBILITIES. They embrace good mining ground, situated in a great and rapidly developing mineral region. They will bear the expenditure of capital upon a liberal scale, promising rich returns." You are cordially invited to come to our offices to inspect ore samples to ask for references and make a searching investigation. The merits and attractiveness of the full paid, non-assessable treasury stock of CONSOLIDATED ARIZONA COPPER MINES COMPANY, now selling at 25 cents per share, par value $1.00, will prove of much interest to you. Located on the Gary and Hobart street car line, which in twenty minutes brings you to the mill gates. A few blocks from the Pennsylvania depot, which takes you to the heart of Gary, Indiana Harbor, Whiting, South Chicago and Chicago. Going east it takes you to Hobart, Valparaiso, Fort Wayne and beyond. These lots are 30 and 35 feet wide, giving you a chance to build a nice home. A few blocks from Deep River, where you can spend your leisure moments fishing and where the fish are certainly plentiful.
Thi3 subdivision is a triangle bounded by three paved roads. North is 37th street and the Hobart street car line; west is Liverpool road; and south is Ridge Road (39th street). This is the Lincoln Highway road, Chicago to New York. All of this subdivision is high land, giving you an opportunity to build a home as soon as you sea fit. Every lot will increase in value while you are paying for it each month. Get away from paying rents. Nothing is more valueless than a bunch of old rent receipts.
