Valve-in-Read Engine All Chevrolet motors are of the valve-in-head type. Valve-in-head means direct efficiency. It means working from the head and directly to the point. Motor efficiency of the valve-in-head type is in the following manner: The gasoline vaporized and mixed with air is admitted into the cylinder head. There is no side chamber for it to loiter in before igniting. It is brought directly over the piston head, which it must drive downward by the force of its explosion.
