ST. PARADE TONIGHT ST , CHICAGO
Last nigh? was Junior x'lorjs night in the Parr meetings and was th- b'K-
gest thing in a musictl way that has yet happened in the campaign. ur,e hundred boys and girls between the ages of 6 and H were the proudest tittle creatuies you ever taw as they were lined up on the platform ready for their part of the meeting. The program was a remarkable demonstration of the ability of youth under corr.. petent leadership. The faithful work o Mr. Balmond, the big booster in training the choir, was well rewarded by the splendid way !n which the youngsters did the Job when the big show came. When Miss Mason struck the piano at 7:45 the boys and girls marched to the platform where very one knew hi sseat. "He Included Me," ws.s the opening number and every one sanp l'ke an old timer. Proud parents all over the church hearr.ed upon their youngsters with pride and pleasure and back came a still sweeter note from the youthful singers, for boys and girls are human and like to be noticed and to notice them -ii to draw the richest treasures from their big hearts. Th patriotic numbers were much appreciated by the audience as was also the "Mother" song and as the strains of "The Slars and Srtpies shall Wave Over Germany" was heard and flags were flying, what could be more fitting than the sight of these hoys and g'rls surrounded by Old Glory singing of th!r faith in and ellegianee to Uncle Sam? The audience rose to the singing of "America" and the booster program was over. Mrs. Barr gave hr third address on "The Ijiw" and her words made a wonderful impression upon the large audience. She Va!t especially with the commandment, "Honor Thy Father and Mother" and said some tilings on thl subject that will not soon be forgotten either by parents or children. ?he said that when there is a child in the home who run the place and thi parents are ftank to sav they cj.n do noth'r.g with hi in. there is something wrong. We need old fashioned parents. She appealed to the children to reverence and honor their parcrnts and tlvn urged the parents to be worthy of honor from the children and live so that they could really honor thein. I.,8t night was also "birthday'" night and n lirge offering was given by the audience, each one present placing n th" Collection the amount equal to his axe. A pri7.e nas given to th" oldest person pti-s. 'nt. this !.e:r.er a woman of S2 veais.
Tonight will be a get night in the campaign. A street pr.rade, with the illuminated cross at 7:3 will be r.ne of the fenfire? of the evening. The evangelistic party win sing the Southern melodies at the regular service. Sunday there will be four great sei -vices. ?forning nt 10:45. subject to be i
