Months ago we laid our plans for this event and months ago we sent our buyers to the markets to contract for merchandise to close as many unusual transactions as lay within their power. How unusual have been the concessions thus secured we leave to your good judgment to decide. While many were worrying over the rising market, we closed deals that seemed almost impossible. Manufacturers and wholesalers helped us to celebrate this 28th Anniversary; they enabled the E. C. Minas Company to procure merchandise at savings almost unbelievable and to quote birthday prices that will surely bring joy to the men, women and children of Hammond.
