Y. club has announced the date for their Informal dance to be held at the Indiana Harbor auditorium. The music Is to be furnished by the McKelvy orchestra. There is rejoicing at the German Lutheran parsonage at Indiana Harbor, for Wednesday, the stork made a visit bringing a baby daugflter. Rev. and Mrs. Bruno Saager are the parents and there Is a small son who gladly welcomes the newcomer. Miss Meta Melsner. director of Music In the public schools of this city accompanied a class group of her students to Orchestra Hall. Chicago, last evening where they enjoyed hearing the Symphony Orchestra. Round Robins are still In vogue. The Ml8ses Agnes Hoffman and Anna Sundberg entertatned eight young ladles at once at the Hoffman home residence in Olcott avenue, last evening. Those present were the Misses Florence Krown, Delia Rynn, Bertha Berdine. Dorothy Daley, the latter two from Hammond. Anna Johnson. Edna Spenner and two matrons, the Mesdamcs Barnes and Vanderboon. The evening was given over to card playing and music and dainty refreshments were served. Captain Peter D. Sterling of the police force has rented the house being made vacant by the Robert Whites In Olcott avanue. Tlis latter are moving to the North Side to occupy a dwelling in 14oth street. Mrs. S. A. Lewis of Fir street. Is departing- this evening for New York. Accompanying her is her daughter. Miss Gertrude. Serious Illness of the mother of Mrs. Lewis is the reason given for their hasty leaving. The young son of Mr. and Mrs. II. B. Hubard of Grapevine street Is quite 111 with pneumonia. The little lad Is a nephew of Mrs. Mabel Gillespie who is undergoing surgical treatment at the South Shoro hospital in Chicago.
