The American woman demands quality even when she thinks most about economy. That isone reason why Mazola, the pure oil from corn, for deep frying, sauteing, shortening and salad dressings is now used in thousands of homes in preference to butter, lard or suet. And since the Food Administration asks us to save these fats the housewife is especially glad to have a cooking oil which is so pure, wholesome and economical. Not one drop of Mazola is wasted it can be used over and over again as it does not transmit taste or odor from one food to another. It is as pure and sweet as the most delicate food cooked in it and it makes fried foods more easy to digest free from greasiness or sosines. Use Mazola for your salad dressings, too makes them especially delicious. Get Mazola from your grocer in pint, quart, half-ga!!on or gallon tin. The large sizes give greatest economy. Also ask for the free

Valpo Intel-urban Resumes Traffic VAI.rAKAISO, IND., Jan. 31. The Valparaiso and Northern Inte.-urban again resumed traffic today between I ere and Chesterton As noon as the badly off schedule. The drifts are o deep over the tracks between Woodville and Chesterton that today no effort was made to operate cars between here and Chesterton. As son as the Gary line Is In shape for regular traffic, more efforts wil be made to open the Chesterton line. As fast an men can dig this lino open, the wind ehifts the snow back, and accordingly it is Impossible to give service.

SAVE THE CHANGE.

Two billion dollars la a reasonable estimate of the amount that should be realized la the TTnlted State by the sale of War-Savings Stamps. We expect there will be twen.ty.nva million subscribers. At any poatofflee, at any hank, at many other places, yon can no; a twnty-fiy-cant stamp, convertible Into a fire-dollar one; or you can buy a flvs.doUar one at a discount that will give four per cent compound Lntercht on the investment. No Government, before this war began, ever raised so much as a billion dollars by on operation. Raising two billions out of small change would have seemed too preposterous for sober consideration. It will be done; but xt win uo: (to Itself. Get yonr card, your -wife's card, your children's cards. Save the change for a stamp. Ten million stamp accounts could easily be started la a single week. This is the most certainly useful form of saving to win the war. Xt will not represent borrowing. It will Inflate no currency and raise no prices. It will come cut of Income, and for millions of subscribers the subtraction will hardly be missed. Start the stamp habit now!
