Mrs. Spooner had the musical program in diarpe and it included a duet by Mrs. I.. L. F-ombergcr and Mrs. J. C. Parrett and a solo by Mrs. Frank K. Hosier. The meeting opened with devotional .ercises lead by Mrs. O. T. Klooz following' which there was a New Tear's ;onEecrstion service and Mrs. Fmtna Ccsgrove reviewed the first chapter in the new text book "The African Trail." V social half hour followed when the hostesses served tea and wafers. About twenty-five members of the society were in attendance a the meeting. Mrs. G. L. Smith. 504 South Hohman street, opened her home to the members of the civic committee of the Hammond Woman's Club for their meeting last evening. The meeting was in charge of the child wrlfare department with Mrs. C. H. Howell, the leader. The business session was given over to a discussion of the Tjy Nursery to be maintained in Last Hammond. Helen Smith delighted thi xuests by singin "Knittinc" and after the program Mrs. Sml'h assisted by Mrs. W. A. Hill served refreshments. The lodge session of Hammond Chapter No. 120 Women cf Mooseheart Legion lest evening at the I. O. O. F. hall was followed by a very enjoyable social hour.
