The Other Night CA man phoned to THE TIMES, and he wanted to know where he could buy five gallons of a certain kind of transmission oil advertised extensively in the magazines. We Conjd Not Tell Him! C'Well," he said, "I guess I'll have to stick to -V' naming another brand of transmission oil, "But I believe thi3 oil' is good stuff, but where in hell can I get it?" The Point Is This: CHere is a national commodity. It is sold everywhere hereabouts. It is advertised in all the maga;mies, and there are people v;ho own cars who don 't buy a magazine a month. Yet the people who have it fcr sale: the shopkeepers won't advertise it. CJHow is the man who wants it to know where to purchase it? CI And it's the same way with a hundred other lines of magazine advertising.

Mayor Johnson and the Independent Party of Gar are not opposing industries; oil the contrary the are trying to get more of them. Once Gary has a Public Harbor the ships of the Great Lakes will come here, independent industries now shut out through monopolistic control of land sites, Harbor facilities and the beltrailway-canfind sites along the great wharves and docks of this city.

Congress is expending; millions of dollars on a harbor for the City of East Chicago at Indiana Mar foor. Why should not congress provide the city of Gary with harbor facilities? Gary has the site.
