Schneider daiightfully entertained a small party of frtends and relatives last evening at her home in Forsythe avenue. Following an evening of games refreshments were served. Lighted tapers and flowers decorated the table currying out a color scheme of white; and pink very attractively. There wore masses of flowers throughout the home. Mrs. Schneider had as guets, Mrs. William Maginot, Miss Vivian Simpson, the Misses Ernaline and Ethel Tierce, Mrs. J. M. Kaiser. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ahlhorn and Miss Ella Lorrz. Members of the North Side branch of the Hammond Chapter of the Red Cross met in the sew inn room of the Irving school yesterday afternoon and accomplished a great deal of sewing and knitting. Ail women living north of th Michigan Central tracks are eligible to the club and it is hoped to interest as many as possible in the work. He stated that the reason the Indiana Harbor F-elr Railwaycan block the crossings for twenty and twenty-five minutes at a time is because the city attorney is attorney for the New York Central Lines.
