Deputy sheriffs of Cook and Lake counties last night prevented the t. n round fight between Young Denny of New Orleans and Tommy Sheehmi of 'i'cago Heights. Kddie used a 1 i : tie licorice in much, the same manner as a spi'ball pitcher uses slippery elm. And Eddie grot results. The ball performed some uncanny gyrations on its way to the platter and proved even more effective than a good spitter. Clarke Griffith. Kieldr Jones and I.ee Fohl were the bigajent kickers against the shine ball. They claimed that Cicotte.
