STOCKHOLM. Sept. 21. Russia has
reached the "reign of terror" period. Today the cry is for blood wholesale executions. Bolshevik! members of the Fetrograd council of workmen and soldiers are demanding the lives of former Foreign Secretary Paul Millukoff Michael Rodzianko. president of the durna, and twenty other Duma members. Nothing could more strikingly tell the horrible detortion cf mantal perspective developed by
I Be Careful in Using Soap on Your Hair
Moat soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much alkali, which is very injurious, as it dries the scalp and makes the hair brittle. The best thing to use 1s just plain mulsified cocoanut oil. for it is rure and entirely greaseless. It's very cheap, and beats the most expensive soaps or anything ele all to pieces. Tou can get this at any drug store, and a few ounces will last the whole family for months. Simply moisten the hair with water
and rub it in. about a teaspoonful is all J
that is required. It makes an abundance of rich, creamy lather, cleanses thoroughly, and rinses out easily. The hair dries quickly and evenly, and Is soft, fresh looking, bright, fluffy, wavy, and easy to handle. Besides, it loosens and takes out every particle, of dust, dirt and dandruff. Adv.
That "Sister Mary Louise." the alJpged Jap nun, was in Indiana Harbor this year is revealed In the Indiana Harbor
Sentinel which says in its issue today: "Indiana Harbor Catholic who. together with Catholics all over the country, including those of East Chicago, Hammond and Gary, were deceived by 'Sister Mary Louise', an alleged Japanese nun, were greatly shocked to learn of the dethronement of the alleged nun, the discovery that 'she' is a man, and of her arrest in Lafayette. "When arrested the Jap is said to have had $75,000 on his person. ""Sister Mary Louise' paid a visit to Indiana Harbor and East Chicago last spring, during Lent. giving talks before the school children and the parishioners In the various Roman Catholic church halls. During his stay here he made his headquarters with the Carmalite sisters at Calumet, where the latter conduct an orphan asylum. Several Indiana Harborite visited the asylum while, he was there, meeting him personally. A number of them remarked on his mannish look and a masculine quality in his voice, although they never for a moment suspected that the seeming nun was an impostor. "Catholics of the Twin Cities contributed liberally to the cause h pretended to represent, that cf Catholic missions m the Orient. He did not hesitate to collect from the children, who gladly gave up the. pennies they had been given for candy, to aid his work."

What are you going to send the soldiers Christmas? Hadn't thought of it. had you? But the YuWide is less than a hundred days in the future. Of course, everyone is going to give the soldiers something or Christmas, whether they have relative in France or not. If they have no husbands, sons or lovers in the big war it is all the more reason they should do something. Let the gift be useful and an aid in winning: the war. At the next meeting of the Hammond Elks, the lodge will discuss what its contribution to the Christmas of the soldier boys shall be. "Smokes for Sammies" seems to be almost as popular as "Nighties for the Navy" or the many useful things which are being knitted. Books are necessary as well as many other things easily obtained here, but hard to get in France.
