Rv. Geo. B. Jones will return to East Chicago Saturday and resume his work in the First Methodist Episcopal church. Mrs. Samuel Mathoeny entertained the Five Hundred club last night at her home on Fir street. Mrs. W. Morea and family of Drummond st reet left this morning for an extended visit with friends and relatives in Mississippi. There was much evidence of enthusiasm at the first meeting of the Washington Park Improvement association held at the Washington school in Indiana Harbor last night. The organization was completed with Dr. X. U fctenberg as chairman and Mr. George Witt as secretary. The object of the association is the Improvement of Washington Park subdivision a 4 a wholo, especially the block laid aside for the park. Another meeting has been called for next Thursday night at 8 o'clock at the Washington building, and as many

people as are interested in the project of beautifying this section of the city are requested to be in attendance and express their views. Miss Mabel Fulton has resigned her position as stenographer and bookkeeper for H. B. Barker Realty company of Gary. Mijg Fulton has been in the employ of the Barker company for over a year.
