Various methods are being- adopted to solve it The Hirsh-Stein Company purchased the Hotel Carleton at a cost of $14,000 and spent a large sum remodeling the building to convert it into a home for several hundred employes. The Grasselli Chemical Company is erecting: homes for its men, and the Mark Manufacturing Company will construct a town for their workers. The plan of the Standard Steel Car Company which erected "company houses" has become obsolete.
