Boosters. 5; S. S. A. C. . Maccabees. 7; Owls, 1. . K. of C 8; Foresters, 5. A perfect Sunday in Whiting saw the dope upset in many places. To make a good day of it the boys started playing ball early in the mornig and the Boosters were right at home after celebrating at the wedding of their center fielder, Gaddis. and they celebrated the occasion by pulling the unexpected in handing the S. S. A. C. a little defeat, the tune

being 5-4. The S. S. A. C. were without a. mi until the eighth inning, the change

t scenery being good for Mihalco who had previously pitched for the Fores

ters.

After the Boosters were through playing with the Southies the fans went home for a big meal and, came back and saw the Maccabees devour the Owls, the birds making a fine feast for them and they sure had everything from soup to fish for they let the birds down with the least number of runs they have made this year. Wilson did not seem very strong In the pitching line but his players held him up in fine shape. Skinny Shaner and Punch McClellan featured in this department.

The K. of C. pulled through in the

only game which went acording to dope.

The Foresters out-hit them but made a larger number of errors. Shaefer waa

the heavy hitter he contributing a two-

bagger and a three-bagger.
