Stanly Cresswell of Todd avenue Is spending a few weeks -with his aunt who Is spending the summer at Long Lake. Valparaiso. Lillian Cresswell will spend the week-end with them. Mrs. Lackey of Magoun avenue was taken 111 this morning with the scarlet fevef. Mrs. Dunlap and daughter Lucille of Carlo. 111., are visiting with Mrs. Dun"lap's mother. Mrs. IL Philips of Beacon street. The engineer corps of which Harvey Philips of this city belongs have left their post at El Paso. Texas, and are now stationed In Brownsville. Mrs. Claude Hughes leaves tomorrow for Otta wa. where she will remain on an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas "Williams or Olcott avenue have purchased the Hughes home on Baring avenue and will move In on Tuesday. Mrs. L. Faust of 4345 Forsyth avenue has as her guest this week her brother. A. J. Cumpson and wife of Buffalo. T. T. Eugene and Harry Given are In Chicago today. Mrs. A. Thomas of Magoun avenue returned yesterday from a visit In Lottyville. Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Roberts were In Chicago yesterday visiting relatives.

The JOT Girls planned a besch party last night In honor of the outgoing president, Marjorle Miller, who leaves Monday for a two weeks' visit with relatives in Pennsylvania. Because of the weather, the party went to the home of Miss Madelyn Evans on Grapevine street, where games and dancing were enjoyed. Ten couples were present. Dr. N. L. Stenberg and wife and son will spend July 4 in Dogagiac. Mich. The doctor will spend the time fishing. He expects to be back In a few days, but Mrs. Stenberg and Jack will stay for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Donlln of Gary, are the proud parents of a baby girl, bom June 27 Mrs. Donlln was formerly Miss Mabel Shaddlck of Indiana Harbor. Miss Margaret Horn of East Chicago, has accepted a position In W. J. Murray's law office. Mrs. McKay of Fir street, will take her vacation from work at Buftington and during her absence her daughter.
