FIGHT FOR JEKE Italian Johnny Gets LongSought Chance Tonight at Willie Jackson, Who Once Upon a Time Knocked Him Out.

A desperate little Italian In quest of revenge and using boxing gloves as weapons will wage warfare in a New York ring tonight with a hated enemy. Johnny Dundee is getting his longsought return match with "Willie Jackson. You all remember what "Willie did to Johnny unexpectedly in a Philadelphia arena a few months ago. He stopped John in the very first round with a chin punch and got favorable mention in the big dailies of the country for the first tima the next morning. Dundee has been begging for another battle ever since and on the strength of guaranteeing Jackson a nice piece of money finally has been acommodated. Jackson and Dundee both live in Xew York. When they 'went over to Philadelphia the morning of their first and last meeting Dundee was a 1 to 10 shot. Jackson expected a cuffing and Dundee was there to give him one. Johnny at that time was rated as good as Benny Leonard, the present boss of

Ted Lewis, the English welterweight, who won the title from Jack Eritton at Dayton recently, says that he is willinpr to make the lightweight poundage and try his hand at grabbing Bennie Leonard's new honors. CHIEF BENDER TO GET ANOTHER TRIAL PHILADELPHIA, PA., June 29. Chief Bender, the veteran Indian pitcher, who was unconditionally released by the Philadelphia Nationals early in the season, is to be given another trial by Manager Moran. Bender accepted MoTan's terms and -will join the Phillies In Brooklyn today. Since his release Bender has been pitching for independent clubs.

Erwin Baker of Indianapolis in the twentyfour hour motorcycle race against time at the Cincinnati speedway, which closed Wednesday at 6 p. m., broke the world's record for that length of time. His distance was 1.3S6Vi miles, as against 1,153 miles, the old record. He broke the record for 500 miles, going that distance In 8:38:30, which Is 1:19:00H better than the old record, and his time for 1,000 miles was 17:26:30i as against 20:4230. He rode an Indian.
